Awesome day outside. Leaves are still clinging to the trees, but deep piles on the ground. Be leary of the leaves. Started out at the steps to the overlook and, as a sprinter might, ran right up those things. Whoa, how ‘bout a warm up? Hit the wall right at the top few steps. Good time to check out the view. You can see downtown and Churchill from here. I’ve watched Thunder Over Louisville from here and it is pretty cool. Not so in your face and a lot quieter.

Took some time to recover and continued on to Corbly Trail and Red Trail to the Summit. They used to call this “Burnt Knob” because the Indians used to burn the land for agricultural purposes. Looped on around back to the Overlook and charged up those steps again. Much better this time. Proof that warm-ups work. Took in the view,then, for good measure, hit the steps one more time.
